    Joseph Connolly

    Joe Connolly

    Founder & President
    Joe is a healthcare entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in specialty distribution, brand management, strategy development, and patient support programs. He began his career at Sanofi in France as a member of the global brand team. He later spent several years at Boehringer-Ingelheim Canada and Bayer Canada, in various product management and sales roles.

    In 2017, after several years in Ophthalmology at Bayer, Joe started Sentrex, specializing in complex ophthalmic biologics and PSPs across Canada. Sentrex has since experienced exponential growth, expanding into neurology, oncology, dermatology, hepatology, IBD and rare disease.
    Taflyn Hornibrook

    Taflyn Hornibrook

    Chief Executive Officer
    As CEO of Sentrex, Taflyn is committed to patient-centric values, operational excellence and fostering a collaborative, courageous, people-focused culture. Before joining Sentrex, Taflyn spent over two decades in various roles in pharmaceutical sales, marketing and senior leadership.

    Taflyn’s background also includes early career experiences in healthcare, where she supported children with special needs and their families. Her journey led her through diverse roles, from being a special needs coordinator for the Town of Markham to helping patients share their life stories in long-term care. Her experience in multiple industries and with various patient groups gives her a deep understanding of patient support programs from both the patient’s and the manufacturer’s perspective.

    Taflyn’s mission is clear: to deeply understand the needs of each stakeholder, including patients, healthcare professionals, and manufacturers, to create and execute innovative programs that exceed their expectations.
    Bev Herczegh

    Bev Herczegh, RPh

    Co-founder
    As a pharmacist Bev spent many years delivering front line care to patients in the community and in long-term care. In 2009 Bev joined The Pangaea Group as a Director, where she consulted with the pharmaceutical industry on a multitude of topics including pharmacy practice, biologics, strategic planning and the business of pharmaceuticals in Canada. Bev is a collaborator and an effective moderator who has participated on several panels and has penned several articles. In 2021, Bev joined Sentrex Health Solutions to apply her skills to a growing and entrepreneurial patient-focused company where the status quo is challenged and better ways of meeting patient needs are pursued.
    Enida Zaimi

    Chief Financial Officer
    Enida brings 20 years of experience in complex distribution and consumer goods organizations with a proven record of success. In the last 15 years, Enida has managed the finance team, investor relations, data analytics and IT for companies of different sizes in various stages of growth with decentralized operations and diverse ownership structures.

    Her executive engagements have centered around building the infrastructure to support and maintain sustainable growth, drive efficiency and innovation across the board, improve quality of data insights, always aiming to increase shareholder value.
    Ryan O'Connor

    Ryan O’Connor

    Chief Information Officer
    Ryan O’Connor brings over a decade of experience in consulting and retail industries to Sentrex. He previously served as Vice President of Supply Chain Technology at Canadian Tire, enhancing business capabilities across multiple banners through modern technology and innovation.

    Ryan’s academic background includes studies at Bishop’s University and the University of Hong Kong, culminating in an MBA from the Rotman School of Management. Following his MBA, he spent nearly ten years as a consultant, advising leading companies in the medical devices and pharmaceutical industries, such as Plexxus, MedImmune, and AstraZeneca.

    In the retail sector, Ryan has held significant roles at Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaw Companies Limited, and Canadian Tire, focusing on building strong teams and advancing business capabilities in Master Data Management, Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance, Real Estate, and Consumer Brands. Throughout his career, Ryan has consistently leveraged technology to drive efficiency and innovation, aiming to improve operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
    Kent Spadzinski

    VP, Engineering
    Kent Spadzinski leads a team dedicated to architecting, enhancing, and maintaining advanced technology solutions for Sentrex. With a career spanning over twenty-five years, Kent has developed expertise in technical and business roles across the construction, mining, and telecommunications industries. At Sentrex, he is committed to building a team that supports the company’s technological needs and strategic goals.
    Dale O'Connel

    Dale O’Connell

    VP, Specialty Operations
    Dale joined Sentrex in 2021, bringing with her three decades of extensive experience in pharmaceutical distribution. Her illustrious career began at McKesson Canada, where she held a pivotal role overseeing the narcotics department before contributing to the successful launch of their third-party logistics division.

    Following her tenure at McKesson, Dale assumed responsibility for managing national distribution activities at Solvay Pharma, further honing her expertise in the field. Subsequently, she embarked on a new chapter at Innomar Strategies, where she contributed to the establishment of their 3PL division. Dale’s leadership journey continued as she transitioned to overseeing the Specialty wholesale division, steering its national distribution team through remarkable growth.

    Dale is a firm advocate for fostering environments of continuous improvement, driven by a team committed to quality and dedicated to enhancing the patient experience. Her unwavering belief in the transformative power of collaboration and innovation underscores her approach to pharmaceutical distribution.
    Jeanne Rah

    Jeanne Rah

    VP, Operational Excellence
    Jeanne is an accomplished senior leader with comprehensive experience leveraging leadership skills to develop and expand multiple business units. With over 30 years of experience in her current role as VP, Operational Excellence, she has a strong track record of working with teams to meet the objectives of the organization and deliver solutions for our clients. Jeanne’s career consists of consulting advisory roles as well as full time management positions.

    Before joining Sentrex, Jeanne was Director of Information Technology for a logistics company. During the six years in this role, she spearheaded the initiative to define and implement a manageable, multi-phase transformational strategic roadmap to revamp the technology landscape. With extensive complimentary skills in project management, organizational change management and process improvement, Jeanne has implemented solutions and led transformational initiatives in a wide range of verticals including healthcare, finance, government, insurance, transportation, and manufacturing.
    Kevin Bivand

    Kevin Bivand

    VP, Quality and Patient Safety
    With nearly 20 years in healthcare, Kevin brings expertise in quality, PV and regulatory affairs across the pharmaceutical, pharmacy, and medical device industries. At Sanis Health, he managed these areas for business units including drug manufacturing, wholesale and importation, specialty health patient support programs, central pharmacy services, and long-term care pharmacy. Previously, he led quality for a supply chain, a brand and generic drug manufacturer, and a medical device manufacturer. Kevin is a seasoned professional with experience working with Health Canada, provincial authorities, and pharmacy colleges. He holds a Bachelor of Science, MBA, Six Sigma Black Belt and is pursuing a Master of Science.
    Ann Tran-Ryan

    Ann Tran-Ryan, RPh

    VP, Pharma Partnerships and Patient Programs
    Ann is an accomplished strategic leader with over 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She has held leadership roles in medical affairs, market access, sales, and marketing at GSK. Most recently, Ann served as the Head of Neurology at UCB Canada, where she led commercial and medical teams to deliver exceptional results. Ann excels in tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions, driven by curiosity and forward thinking.

    With a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, Ann brings a solid foundation to her role. Prior to her industry career, she completed a clinical residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and practiced as a licensed pharmacist. Joining Sentrex as VP, Pharma Partnerships and Patient Programs allows Ann to leverage her diverse experience and expertise, fulfilling her passion for positively impacting patient care and outcomes.

    Rehan Javeri

    General Manager, Clinic Solutions
    Rehan Javeri oversees PerCuro, commercial Directors, and Therapeutic Area leads across Ophthalmology, Neurology, GI, Hepatology, and Dermatology at Sentrex. With over 30 years of experience in Operations, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, he brings deep expertise in global and local markets. Rehan previously led BioAdvance, a PSP serving over 20,000 Immunology patients, demonstrating his ability to align strategy with operational efficiency. His extensive background working with top manufacturers and industry vendors positions him to drive integrated solutions that enhance patient care at Sentrex.

      Our history

      Proudly Canadian, Sentrex was founded in 2017 as a specialty pharmacy, servicing ophthalmologists. Shortly after, we expanded into patient services, driven by a deep desire to challenge the industry’s status quo. Today, Sentrex has a national footprint, with a single-minded vision to redefine specialty care and exceed the expectations of all stakeholders.
